Hi,
I'm about to pull the trigger for the HF S100. From some online reviews, the battery has a short shooting time. My question is that can you plug in an outlet while shooting?

I hope that I'm not in a wrong thread for this post. Any HF S100 users?
If the question sounds too dump to answer, I've not owned any camcorders before, that's why.

Vincent,

The camcorder comes with an AC adapter/charger and when this is plugged into an AC outlet the camera can be run from it. When the camera is turned off the battery will charge but it will not charge while the camera is powered up.

You can also purchase higher capacity batteries for this camera. Genuine Canon batteries will "communicate" with the camera so it can show minutes remaining.

I don't have the HF S100...Yet.

I'm currently using a pair of HF100's and the Canon T1i.
