If you sell on ebay, they will use & catalog YOUR photo's unless you opt out!

You have to opt-out of this, or ebay will catalog & use YOUR photo's!

How do you opt out? I went to my Ebay account and didn't see anything related to this issue. Thanks

UNDER My ebay, there are 3 items to choose, Activity, Messages, & Account, click on ACCOUNT
On the left site under My Account, click on:

I suppose this only applies for ebay.com, as I couldn't see this "Share your photos" option on the UK site.

Try and do this prior to the end of this month or else they assume your permission until you opt out, only from that date forward. Doing it BEFORE the end of August includes all of your previous uploads.

Nice find!! Thanks much to the OP. This is one of those "fine print" things most people ignore but it could have a lot of impact in the future.

Some group needs to sue Ebay for stuff like this, especially for the new anti-trust issues for them owning Paypal, AND for making Paypal the ONLY allowed method of payment for most product catagories. That HAS to be illegal.

totally agree, they pull your auctions if you remotely mention the high paypal charges and you prefer cash on collection or bank transfer.

Just opted out, thanks.

Also odly enough there was someone listed as a third party person that could do certain things on my ebay account without my concent, so I removed it. My wife didnt have it on her account, scary..... My first ebay account was hacked and racked up a bill and ebay never took care of it for me....

I wish they had a hotline that you could call.... (If they do, PM me with the number!)

The new CEO of Ebay has changed several polcies/fee structures. More and more they are about the $$$ and less about the customer.

Canon 40D and more lenses than my wife knows about...
