Hello!

I have been struggling to find a good relationship with a camera case for almost a year now . Last year, I finally made the switch from my old Nikon 6006 to a Canon 40D with 17-85mm and EF 70-300mm lenses (and hoods). Since then, I have searched for a good case that can hold my camera and both of my lenses without feeling like I'm bringing the whole world. I'm often hauling along other gear (and kids), so I'm looking for the most compact option out there. Here are my priorities:

1) Fitted case that would hold just the body and the 17-85mm lens (this would be great to "toss" into the backpack when I'm heading out with the kids)

2) Top-loading case that could hold the body and small lens (couldn't throw it in the backpack, but wouldn't be too bad to carry along)

3) Top-loading case that could hold both lenses

4) I'm also open to the idea of a dedicated lens case for the larger lens that I could "toss" in the backpack if I'm carrying a top-loading case (ideally, I could switch out the lenses and store my smaller lens in there, too)

Any help would be appreciated!

I use a Lowepro Slingshot 200AW with my 40D and Tamron 17-50 as my general purpose walkabout bag. Worth checking out.
