Nice shots.

A quick question - How do you know there is a red tint on the skin? If you haven't seen someone particularly with babies. Just trying to understand.

Thanks all.

I think #1 is a bit warm and the brown bg just adds to the reddish-effect. It's not that it's nec. right or wrong - just another subjective area in photography. I think the edit's a little too much on the other side of the spectrum though, but I'm sure it was done quickly.

I've gone back and adjusted the original. The adjusment (to skin only) is subtle, but I think it looks better:
