As you know photobucket has decided to hold our images for a yearly $400 ransom. Until I get the time to fix some threads, here are a couple of attached images:

It was brutal out there last night. Don't these people know that it's only Tuesday?

Look at this traffic, if you can call 2mph stop-and-go "traffic"?

2.
The Athens Coney Island was crowded.

3.
The Shell station was crowded. (Just S. of Normandy which is 13-1/2 Mile.)

5.
There's always someone with his nose stuck in a potentially nice shot.

Lefty's sweet '55 Chevy. This is a guy with one useable hand who spent one winter polishing his intake, all by hand. I didn't even like spit shining my boots!

I just realised that I've never done a thread on it. Maybe soon if I can get it in the right spot. After all, he finally painted his bumper bolts as I suggested & bought this print:

7.
Not so great of a shot, but got two Chevy's in it & a nice mood, so it's a borderline keeper.

8.
Now we're cookin' & this is more like it! A nice Roadrunner & Chevy that made my night. Two in one shot, just as it was back then on a normal Saturday night! Reminds me of the mirror shot, "Objects in the mirror are losing"!

Maybe tonight I'll be lucky enough to get two shots I like, a 100% improvement! LOL!

There's a lot of nice muscle out there. Re the truck in the photo I would think that if it was an OLD truck it would change the mood to "back in time". It doesn't fit the surroundings, so takes away from the shot (my opinion). Looks like the streets are coming alive once again.

hey frank, you should slow your shutter speed to around 160... unless you only like the front ends in focus while the other part is going 1000000 mph ;)

It's a '62 Dart, heavily modified, aluminum body... and my favorite Mopar - small, light, fast, & ugly. ;)

Yes. I've had a lot of potentially nice shots that had something of the wrong period in them.

Actually, I think they were running away from it? :D

I've always thought that they should have been way more popular, so get to work, Mike! Don't forget to take build pics so you can make a book on it. And here's some incentive:
Some shots of Jim's '68 AMX

You mean speed up to 1/160, no?

unless you only like the front ends in focus while the other part is going 1000000 mph

Yes, I really do! To me, it means "Motion". To some others, it means OOF. :D "Different strokes...".

As a Mopar guy I have to point out that even a blind pig finds the occasional acorn?" ;)

Thanks for the comments everyone! More to come...

great atmosphere and wonderful colours
love to see all whats going on like it

the background blurring with the last two moving cars looks slightly unreal. but that could be all part of the magic
just wondering ..did you add the neon type backgrounds in the last faster moving shots Frank?

wonderful that you got so many shots on the street , and to see them here. ta

The gas station shot was quite funny, kinda like in the 70s where the shortage of gas happened.

Not in any of the "Cruise" shots at this time. They're all pretty much picking the spot to shoot from & hoping that the shutter speed is close to right for the speed that they're moving at the time you get a potential shot through a hole in traffic. Then some dufus on a bicycle or minivan gets in the way. ;)
I throw a LOT of shots away!

I remember those days, & you're right, it's just like that. And I was only getting about 13mpg around town with the 383.
