Im having a hardtime finding a bag that will fit my laptop, XTI with three lenses. the reason is my laptop is a Toshiba 15.6 widescreen. most bags are for 15.4 and dont fit. some bags like the NanuePro Tango say 15.4, but im pretty sure it will fit because of dimensions. I like the Kata R467. but it wont hold my longer lenses. So Im open to suggestions but would prefer it be under $100.

ToshibaLaptop 15.1 X 10.2 X 1.6
Canon 70-200 F4
Sigma 24-70 2.8
50 1.8
430EX
And a few small accesories. I'll be using the bag on a daily bassis to carry my laptop for work. So I would prefer a backpack but but doesnt have to be. I would also like it to carry my camera with a lens attached. I think the Kata 467 might hold everything, but I dont think it would with wither big lens on the camera....so I need suggestions. I know the Kata R104 will work....but its way over budget @ $275.

Any ideas?

Speedster;
Have you looked at the Tamrac Adventure Series? They have two backpacks that hold the larger laptop sizes. I have used one for over a year now and it has worked great so far. Good size for traveling as well

JD- It looks like the only ones that would work are the adventure 9 and 10 due to compartment sizes. They are both $150 +. thanks

Have a look at the Lowepro Slingshot 350AW. It has room to stash a widescreen laptop. I have the 300AW version and it can comfortably hold my Rebel with my 100-400 attached so your 70-200 should be no problem to hold with a body attached.

I have the Lowepro Fastpack 350 and mine holds a 17" laptop. You can get the Fastpack 250, it says it holds a 15.4" wide screen notebook in there. It cost $89.95 with free shipping and they come in 3 different colors.

I would get the fastpack 350 if I was you. I had that and just bought the fastpack 200 because I did not carry a laptop. The 200 is the same size as the 250, it just does not hold a laptop and my stuff it pretty tight, without a laptop. I have an gripped XTI, Tamron 17-50, Canon 55-250, canon 50 1.4 and the speedlite.

I think you will want the extra room with the laptop in there.

I needed a similar bag and I tried both the Fastpack 350 and the Tamrac Aero 85 at the local camera store -- I ended up going with the Aero. I think the Fastpack might have been slightly more comfortable but I liked the storage compartments on the Aero a little better ... and I only use the bag as a travel bag and take a small, light, packable bag for day-to-day use with the camera. I've taken the Aero 85 on small regional carriers and have placed the bag with camera and backpack under the seat. Likewise, never have had a problem on international flights. Interestingly, I flew through Doha a couple of months ago and they inspected my camera and lenses individually before I got on the flight -- never have had that happen before ...

Regards ...

Kata DR-467

Check out this thread: https://photography-on-the.net …789&highlight=Kata+DR-467

Also, I think Kata just released a slightly modified version of the DR-467 that has something of a tripod carrier.
