Hi Guys;

I was quite pleased with how these 2 B/W conversions turned out...

C&C always appreciated...

Cheers;

Lee

Very nice.
As someone recently told me about a B/W landscape I shot in Colorado, "Ansel Adams would be proud."

I lived & worked at Grand Canyon for 11 months and visited again this past spring.

Those are excellent! I don't generally care for B&W but I love these, can't put my finger on why but I like the 2nd one the best.

I love the conversion. I would add a bit more contrast and push the blacks a bit more. Other than that, these are lovely. What pulls me in, are the clouds. I'm a sucker for nice clouds! =)

Hi Guys;

MANY thanks to all for taking the time to view & comment...

This was our second visit to TGC. We went in May. Entering the park this time from the East (stayed at Cameron Trading Post overnight), it was just as well we got out early! The clouds started to roll in as soon as we got into the park, and it was fully overcast & raining by early afternoon; but while it was building, the clouds looked good! Those on the North Rim wouldn't have thought so; there was the mother & father of a lightning storm going on over the rim...

For those who asked; the colour images follow. They are 3-shot HDRs...

Great job. Very Ansel Adams-ish. I think he would have used HDR if he had had it.;)

Fantastic location. I agree with the poster above, I want a little more contrast, but still awesome shots.
