1 & 2 really have too many distracting elements within the surrounding area and background. My eyes just wonder around and do not go straight to the vehicles which I assume are the main subject. The third is nice but really doesn't stand out for me.

^^ i agree.
especially with the second one
but theres the distraction of another bumper of another car.
the bush. the trashcan.
as well as your framing, you cut off the back part of the subject.

I don't mean to be insulting, but I think you should learn more about composition before your worry about editing. The first and second don't have a point of interest. The third has the address plaque and the lantern. However, they're not composed in a compelling way.

Nothing seems to be in focus in the first one. In the second, the patch of grass just over the edge of the bush on the left appears to have it. Was that your intention?

Become sensitive to the characteristics of light in photographic settings. In the second, the car is back lit. This has caused the shadowed part to be underexposed and the part in sunlight, the hood,to be blown out.

Might I also recommend that you tell us what editing techniques you were trying? It is sometimes difficult to guess when looking at the image (unless you post both the before and after shots).

The saturation in the first 2 pictures is kinda neat and makes me think of film.

Go to a cooler location without so much in the background, makes a big difference. Also, think about the composition before you take the shots. I'd study some of the good shots in the transportation thread, you might even try to recreate some of them for practice >> https://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=37
These are nice imo > https://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=37

not only the composition needs work, but you need to learn about focus. focus and recompose. the last car shot, you clearly greenboxed it. the focus went on the grass and the car is blurry. but its cool, you're new and learning. oh and i used to have the same car, but in red. you should put the 6spd wheels on it

I just want to say that the second picture looks like a commercial where in every driveway, there's a suped up sports car.

I'd get MUCH closer to the numbers in the third one - putting them to the far right side of the frame... using the pattern of the shadow and stucco on the left to give interest.

I think you're trying to get good shots at the 10,000 ft. level, when you really need to come WAY in to say the 50ft. level instead. You're overall scenery is just not that interesting at 10,000 feet. If you get closer and isolate your subjects, it will be much better.

Either way, keep shooting though, no matter what.

try to make it simple. very very simple. Exclude as much as you can. Press the shutter only when you like what you see.
