Exactly. Most of the 'hdr' attempts I see are way overdone and are put into the "unnatural" category. For instance there was a "hdr" attempt at a photography exhibit I was recently at that was to the point where it looked unnatural and more fantasy than anything else. It was a large print ~ 16x20 and was about the highest price marked, $495. Yet it did not win an award nor was it chosen to move onto either of the two "3 week exhibits". And the judging was done by long time photographers and a painter.
