thank you and don't be so hard on yourself ;)

I just want to know how to make things luminous.

my secret is using only one camera/one prime lens combo.

Almost everything I post comes from the same camera. Its lens is built in. Back to the drawing board.

I still suspect it's something about the sky in London.

on a slightly different note, another shameless plug:

the new issue of F-Stop magazine, released today, has two of my shots in it, yeey :)

Congratulations!

Too hard to carry around and almost impossible to conceal. We have a high armed-robbery rate locally. Anyway, I'm sure there's more to learn yet with my current equipment.

armed robbery you say. yes, that could be a factor.

I was kind of half joking, there is always lots to learn. anyway, you did grow a lot in the last year as well, so nothing to complain about, right?

my secret is using only one camera/one prime lens combo. it takes a lot of time to really understand what a certain focal length is all about. not to say I have done it, but the improvement I have seen in the Iast year is closely related to keeping up this discipline.

on a slightly different note, another shameless plug:

Congrats Z and BRAVO, more well served recognition. :D:D bw!

Oh Look just keep working and try to keep making images that look like your images and not everyone else's. Trust you instincts. I like your work because it doesn't look like all the other things I see.

And I of course would recommend a rangefinder and a prime...

Thanks. Redoing what's been done, and overdone, would be pointless.

And I of course would recommend a rangefinder and a prime...

Of course. If they were only smaller.

Right. It took a while to figure out what was possible with this camera (not big landscapes, not pinpoint-precise macro) besides going around looking for purple things for the Colors game and things that started with certain letters.

Heres the size of my Leica 35 1.4 Lux compared to the 35L and the cron smaller than the lux.
And the Lux has the hood on the 35L doesn't.

Heres my Leica next to a 5DII

Small and nondescript. I get very little attention when out and about.

You certainly have a good eye for color and shape. I think your art background has been a huge help.

I understand, but a camera with an attached lens doesn't fold up flat when turned off.
