Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

That's neat.
Wedges for wooden handles I gather.
Where did you come across such a stockpile?

Well that didn't take too long. I figured I'd have everyone stumped for a while, since there was nothing else in the shot to even gauge the size of these items.

Found a bin of these at a tool vendor's booth at the Newport (Indiana) Hill Climb a few weeks ago. It's a combination hill climb competition, street fair, car show and flea market affair that takes over the little town of Newport for three or four days every year. And you're right. That looks like a lifetime supply of axe and hammer handle wedges to me.

Interesting screen name you've got there, too. I live on Avondale Drive.

I'm used to them and just replaced a sledge hammer handle
Recognise them easily.
Certainly interesting how so many were all in together

I live on a farm called Avondale, purchased 1987.
Hence name I commonly use.

Like the angle and the perspective of this shot. Better than if just shot straight on.

Another eye-fooler. Looks like a rack of cherry candies until you scroll to the very bottom. 8-)
