I really enjoy this thread, thanks for starting it. It is giving me ideas and new perspectives on the things I see around me. In fact I am motivated to got out right now and take some shots. When the skies are grey and all of my photos of sky would be blown with me G10, I can now look to the fragments to satisfy my photography urges.
Hopefully I will have something to add to this thread in a week or two, especially since I am heading out for a little road trip tomorrow.

GREAT images airfrogusmc!!!

What cities are these from? I love urban decay shots - glimpses of architectural details from days gone by - rust belt images.

You're welcome. Living in a city I can only shoot so many skyline shots. Sometimes candid photos of strangers can land you in dicey water/trouble. So - You gotta look somewhere else for interesting photos.
But you're right. Best time to do this is on overcast days. Too many highlights on bright sunny days. Of course there's always shade in alley ways and shady side of the street.

there's plenty to shoot. You just need to figure out the right angle, DOF, perspective, lighting ect. I find this type of photography to be rather relaxing. You take the time to figure out the best shot. Zen, perhaps (trying not to sound too presumptuous, self-importantself endulgent).
