Thanks, The bike frames are like carcasses across the city. They just get picked apart by the vultures. Sometimes all you will see is the frame itself, everything else gone.

Bike messengers and cyclists usually take the wheel off. But you can tell a bike that has been there for a while and picked for parts. I think when some people come back to their bike and see it like that they leave it there, never to come back. I see lots of abandoned bikes.

I was in LES yesterday without my camera and saw a pile of at least 10 bike frames chained together and picked for parts.
