This was a tiny tiny sticker on the sidewalk outside St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin.
For size reference see the match on the right edge.

Does that make the photo a violation of the "no people, no skies" rule...;)

Great shot... :-)

Oh, good lord.

How's a blown-out sky supposed to look when the interest and focus is more than obviously
centered upon something which is most certainly NOT the sky?

Seems to me that you and Phil are drifting FAR off track on this course, and have been proving your ineptitude by staunchly insisting that the littlest glimmer of sky has now been known as such a taboo, when the skies have been shown.

Okay: "NO people or skies." I understand and appreciate that, but where does it say
that a person can't ever contribute to this thread?

Cripes, Eskimo, but I've seen you to be just about THE MOST intolerant person
ever to exist on this forum, even though you're submitting pics which are of a broader
base than the OP outlined.

Plus, we're now faced with an anal-retentive personality such as yours,
combined with the invectives we know to have come from Phil, and we're constantly blocked and barricaded by both yourself and Phil.

Seriously, I'll probably drop out of this thread, seeing as you have beaten the dead horse to death. It's not of my interest, and none of my general concern.

Goodbye to all.

C'mon guys, you can post anything you want in the "Urban Life and Travel" section. This particular thread is about "Urban Fragments" with No People or Skies -- why is that so hard to adhere to? No cityscapes, just fragments, that's what makes the thread what it is, and if you have something else post it into another thread! It's that simple!

Thank you Tony, I agree. If the thread starter meant "preferably" he probably wouldn't have put that big NO in the title.

Maybe it'd be possible to start a separate thread with different rules for those who are unhappy with the rules here?

Yes, thank you Tony! While I've only plotted a couple things here in the past (all of which became blown away when Apple $&#*ed part of their MobileMe service), I saw this as a thread for some interesting photos. Moreso, I saw it as encouragement to look at cities in ways one might not otherwise see them. For instance, walking around DC, it's easy to see all of the monuments and museums, but what about the motorscooter chained to the post? Besides, it's a challenge, artistic or otherwise, to shoot a cityscape without people or skies. :D
