Hi folks,

I'm contemplating getting an SX10 IS. Have seen a few comments here and there about it being slow to focus at maximum zoom.

Have many people come across this. How are you Canon SX10 IS owners finding the zoom and the extra distance etc. Worth the upgrade or not getting enough quality from the extra distance?

Thanks all in advance for your posts/comments.

It depends on what you are upgrading from.
As far as focusing in full zoom, it has trouble if the light is low, all the new superzooms have it. No problems in good light.
I love mine, I upgraded from an S3 and the SX10 is like an S3 on STEROIDS!
Great camera, I don't envision ever needing more than what this camera offers. No SLR for me. Been there, done that.
I've only had it for 3 weeks and you couldn't pry it out of my hands ;-)a

Thanks for the reply Gerry... I'm upgrading from a Canon S5IS. I'm after that tiny bit more zoom capacity, hence the question.
