I'm presuming you're referring to the first ever photograph created by Nicéphore Niépce in 1825, in which case, I agree.

As interested as I am in what Hubble and other space telescope cameras produce, until one takes a shot of something (like an alien spacecraft or an asteroid) heading for earth, there are many other photographs that impact the lives of more people--I would count those as "more important."

I don't understand why anyone would even make the claim.. Yeah, it has an "ooh aww" aspect to it, but all in all, I'd say that even pictures from convenience store surveillance cameras that lead to the arrest of a burglar are more more important.

the cuban missile aerial photos were pretty important.


5D, 10D, G10, the required 100 macro, 24-70, 70-200 f/2.8, 300 f2.8)
