We have just returned from a wonderful trip to Ulusaba in South Africa. I have attached some of the pictures I took which I hope you will enjoy as much as I enjoyed taking them! That lioness is breakfasting on wilderbeast - she has just seen a hyena on the ridge over my shoulder! The Leopard is a young female, sadly her mother died very recently. (Click on the thumbnails to go to larger versions.)

Nice shots! Must have been a lot of fun. I'd love for the opportunity to get these kinds of shots.

Thanks - it was. I bought a Sigma 150-500mm lens especially for the occassion - I'm very glad I did! I hope you will get the opportunity in due course.

Great pics!
I'm going to Kruger in a month. I can only hope I come across as many of the big cats as you did :)

Thanks for the comments guys. The hippos were shot mid morning. We stopped by this lake for mid morning drinks - it was fantastic spending time enjoying this amazing scene. A number of bush buck wandered past for a drink, a heron flew in and mingled with the hippos and at one point a fish eagle flew overhead and perched on a nearby tree. A truly wonderful experience.

I got the BIGMOS for the same reason. Up at 500mm when the a tiger is waking towards you, I keep zooming out as I get scared.
Good shots.
