So which one is it going to be, Alan? You posted the same message on 3 separate boards: Share Photos, Galleries and Photo Critique. Since this is a relatively small forum, I think we all got the message. I went to your site this morning, after you posted the same message on rec.photo.digital and dpreview's CanonTalk. I like your images a lot--very nice. But your posts are almost spams! Perhaps one on each forum would be enough, although for me it was enough already.
Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not the forum police, I am simply asking for some moderation, especially on this forum, where there are relatively few new posts every hour or two, so to see 3 new posts that are identical really disappoints me. I know of many folk, mainly through this forum I might add, who are avid followers of the G1 on the web. I'm sure these folk saw all your posts as well, and enjoyed visiting your website (I know Diane Fields did!). Perhaps you could embed one of your images in your post to this board, so that we could critique it directly, rather than having to go to your site, view there, then make comments back here?
Thanks again for sharing your website of very interesting photos with us, and I personally look forward to other postings from you with comments and critique of other's photos.

cheers,

Thank you for the comments on my site, I always appreciate people letting me know what they think of the photos that I take/process.
I like to know in particular which actual photos that they prefer, my wife and I both like/dislike certain pics, its interesting that people see things differently.
As for the postings on different message boards/forums/newsgroups, well, that is what they are for, you are only a mouse click away from closing them down if you do not like them/have seen them before.

I don't usually comment unless its against a single image, so I selected #9

1) It would be better if it were cropped more on the left. So that the pathway started on the left, and worked into the middle as it goes into the distance.

2) Too much sky. Move the horizon up to about 1/3 or 1/4 mark on the page.

3) The trees are really neat. It would be nice to come up with a way to get more of them into this picture. The color of the leaves comes out really nice in the IR picture.

Even after I've done the above things, I still think the picture would be missing something. I'm not sure what though. Perhaps someone walking on the path? Although if the purpose of the picture was to depict solitude, that would break that model.

Mike
