I have been asked by a friend to recommend a camera and its been a while since I have been into camera and the latest kit
I have a EOS5 SLr and all the Kit and also a Canon PRO1

She does not think she wants a DSLR yet, but has been advised a G10 -
So I had a look at the G10 - looks a good camera, although only upto 140mm lens , I then looked at the SX10IS - which looks like a great camera 28-560 which is a fantastic range
Macro 0cm - which I dont quite understand
Comparing the two - not a great deal of difference
aperture 5.7 but thats typical of zoom lens for a DSLR unless you pay lots of money
Aperture 5.7 v 4.5
Does not do RAW format, which is a shame, but again 3years on arepeople still using RAW so much or settled to jpeg.... I know there was a lot of discussion - in the wedding market, which to use and jpeg was being used a lot more
And nothing else significant stood out

So please any advice would help - or other recommendations on a compact ProSumer type camera
