I was feeling a bit burned out, but it was hard to ignore this one... BRIGHT "Cop catcher" orange & a huge blower, & that's just for starts! The bonus was that I could get more than one angle of it.

I only has a second to shoot this angle as someone who sounded like 600 bhp was trying to edge into the space, so I missed the chute on the back.
The spoiler hides the two batteries, so it's partly a trunk lid. Two batteries because just the fuel pump takes 30 amps!

Rod is a nice guy, but I question his wisdom in driving his 100-point cars, (yes, cars plural!) in this traffic with all the kids on bikes around?
Sorry about cutting off the back, but Mom & her mini-van was moving up fast on the outside! LOL!

I lucked out & got 3 Classics in this one! Probably because it was stopped & I could watch for the other cars.

Nice truck, perhaps you can photoshop his build sheet to properly spell the piston and valve brands :D

Lighting looks great on 7.

I look forward to Sat...

That Riv looks sweet.

Painted the calipers on my SVT Contour...already had the jack out, damn screws in a tire...I don't want to leave the Mustang on a side street.

Mamiya TLR and a few rolls of 120 to go along with two Canon DSLRs a G9 and SD550...can't wait to see what my four year old daughter gets from HER G9.

He's from Texas? They do things differently there!

I ran into Tom Friday & he said that "Maniac" was on the cover of the May '87 issue of Hot Rod.
Some more details: With the 6:71 blower it turns in the high 8 sec. & low 9s. The lower end of the Olds 442 Rocket Block is rated to handle 1,500bhp & the rear end is 4.56 with overdrive that reduces it to 3.76. The reason for the two batteries is that it draws 100 amps without the lights on.
The louvers in #5 are for the intercooler that sits just under the blower.

He's had it for 21 years & drives it about 2,000 miles a year.

A couple of shots that I didn't get the other day:
