Before we all get up the lynch mob... I think he does have a point, although he could have phrased it better. I often see posts where someone asks for specific advice on a shot and they give no detail at all on how/why they took it. I have Panda EXIF viewer for Firefox viewer and often there is no EXIF in a posted shot.

If you do 'save for web' in PS you can opt to include EXIF. I don't often do that but then if I do ask for comment I give the basic EXIF in the post.

Personally, I want to be a member of photographic fora because I want to discuss photographs and photography matters in general. But it's sometimes hard to do that when so little info is provided by others.

Thank you very much. This is really the version I would have posted, except I'm so darn frustrated. I HAVE asked in the past and been ignored.

There are better ways to improve your own photography than simply copying what someone else has done without even asking why they did it.

That's not at all what I meant, and now YOU are the ass of this thread.

You haven't even started a thread sharing any of your images, let alone how you shot them.

If you really want help, post a photo and ask for it.

OK fine. Here ya go

No one is required to reveal their secrets/skills/processes. If you're ignored, either consider your approach or shrug it off and move on.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

When you sound like a complete ass, your going to get rude remarks back at you. That's the bottom line of it. I have NEVER met anyone on this site that has been anything but kind and courteous to me. I'm sorry if you've had different experiences. However, it's not any of our problems, is it? Unless of course one of us are the people that are "ignoring" you.

If it bugs you that people write about what they bought then don't visit the equipment section. I don't see why it would bug you if people like to talk about the gear that they have, I actually quite enjoy reading the equipment sections along with all other sections of this forum.

What does posting EXIF have to do with how much money you have? You need to remember that no one has to give you their information. PERIOD =).

This thread is going nowhere but down. I think it's time the discussion was closed.
