Is it possible to save this picture? I took several of them outside in AV mode with a flash. It looks like I just blew it. I have each of the pictures in the RAW. Is it possible to save these pictures in post production? or am I out of luck. I use Photoshop CS4.
Constructive help only please, I feel bad enough.
thanks

The shot may be wasted -- what happens when you open the Raw photo in Camera Raw and bring the exposure and brightness way down? If that fails, you probably can't do much, but those two sliders are your best hope for a "starting point".

I am afraid you may be out of luck. Nothing there to save.

Next time, set HSS. That way the camera will not be limited to the flash sync speed...
This image is not salvageable.

Not at all salvageable, even if shot in RAW. Too much lost detail.

There's no way to really make a determination without seeing the RAW file because none of us know how you arrived at the JPEG conversion.

You said earlier, "but there is a lot more info there than you think,,, I got this out of your jpeg", so I was assuming you were claiming sufficient information still there to make it acceptable

Well maybe I didn't communicate it right... I can see how you read it that way.

He asked if it was possible to save the picture,,, i said probably not...
But I just wanted to point out after that, that there might be more information than he thought so in the future he may realize better what can be recovered and what cannot. Most people wouldn't think that you could get all that info out of a jpeg,,, imagine what he could get out of the raw.. It will never be enough for that photo,,, but it's a good learning lesson as to what the limits are.

OK, now understood. Often replies are too elliptical, so are subject to misinterpretation, as this was:)
