kingsown THREAD STARTER Goldmember 2,838 posts Likes: 300 Joined Jul 2005 Location: barrow-in-furness More info | Aug 16, 2009 14:32 | #3 first use a high quality lens this was ef70-200f2.8 lens with a 1.4converter on then lock your focus as the birds these were still for a while on the wire i locked the focus there then have a aperture that will give focus in front a third and behind two thirds in this case f8 because the meadow is a long way behind if your birds are in a tree f2.8 the widest because the branches will be much closer and coming in to the field of focus if you google the net there are calculators for all your lens that tell you the distance of subject and what each aperture will cover front and back http://barrowdpc.com/cpg1414/index.php
