Once a year, I make a journey to the Adirondacks. It's my favorite playground, and only half a day's drive away. That said, this one was a bust. My partner got sick (as par the course for him, this is now the third consecutive trip that's been cut short so guess who finally learned their lesson?), and so we wound up driving 700 miles roundtrip to hike four.
At least I made these. Each landscape was two shots, one for the foreground focus/ground exposure and one for background focus/sky exposure. I was also inspired by a photographer I met at the field where the first photo was made to run with a more medium-formatish cropping. He was shooting with some crazy MF, don't ask me what kind, but it was neat.
