OK, so using LR 2.4 and in my workflow I renamed my photos earlier than normal in an effort to better organize. Now everything is done and I am ready to export to a "finished folder" but lightrrom is trying to export based on the original filename and I want to use the current filename. The file is currently named correctly when I go into the folder but on export LR wants to use the original name and I cannot find a way to change any of the presets in the export dialogue to allow me to use the CURRENT filename on export not the original

Any ideas, other than renaming after export next time?

How did you rename?
If you renamed outside of LR, you should get a "Photo is missing" warning in PS.
Gave it a try: Renamed one CR2 in the finder, and sure enough:

If you renamed in LR, it should use the correct name

that is the problem I did rename via LR. and as I said the files are correctly renamed BUT if I choose to now export then it chooses ORIGINAL filename not current.

I even went into presets to change that but it only allows ORIGINAL filename, filename, filename sequence etc. but "filename" is behaving the same as original filename

IDEAS?

Not to be a jerk, but are you sure you renamed the images (F2)?

Again, quick try. I cannot replicate your problem:

I hit F2 I renamed a batch of files. i open the original folder containing the files and the file has the new name. I go tot export I choose filename and it shows me the ORIGINAL FILENAME NOT THE CURRENT NAME.

As you can see the file is renamed and the original name is present but when I choose export and choose filename it tries to revert to original name not current

Sorry, can't help you there:

Maybe trash the preferences? (I'd back up the catalog / write changes to xmp first)
As a workaround, I'd just choose "Custom name" and type in "Flight_to_Disney_2009"...
