Here are a few I tried my hand at, I haven't finished on them yet, still a bit of PP to go, just thought I'd get some early feedback.

Any feedback, C&C welcome

These were for a good friends

Thanks Benny.

These are more for me to play around with trying different PP methods, still more work to do though.

Overall I don't really like the processing, the last pic is much more natural processing and much better for it imo.

Also is there a reason why every pic is a different size and crop ratio ? maybe your cropping for the most creative shot and this is fine when posting to the web but when you come to print them your gonna have a nightmare as none of them will fit standard print sizes!

1. Its hard to tell what it is exactly, looks like ribbon on a car as I think I can make out the wiper blades but doesnt really do anything for me.

2. Nice enough but shame his expression isn't better.

3. Nice detail shot.

4. Nice enough detail shot, personally we always try and capture the bride doing the signing as female hands are prettier than males hands in close up.

5. Nice pose. Turning her body to camera slightly would have reduced/eliminated the folds in her neck. Dropping her flowers slightly would have removed that distraction, better to have them properly in or out of shot imo.

Thanks Jon

Great points there, thanks for taking the time to point them out.

I'll try a run of colour shots without the processing, as for the crop ratios I'll have to research that as I wouldn't mind printing a few just to see, although they will only be using them on the web.

Very helpful, thanks again.

Steve

As opposed to Jon, I like the processing on all but the last one as it seems flat on that last one..

and after the editing the last one has got some life in now..good job..

Nice edits. I would like to see more color photographs (but I suspect you have alot more then the 4 shots you posted).

I liked photo #4 better then your second edit. Too much skin smoothing IMO (especially her neck). A little boost in contrast , color saturation and maybe slightly warmer WB (but depends on the look you are going for). What software are you using?

Thanks, I think I'm leaning more towards the colour versions for the couple, my edits are more for me to play around with, I have around 120 more traditional shots I think they will like.

Looking at it I think I could tone it down, I'll give your suggestion a try.

I'm using LR2 and CS3.

Thanks again

Steve
