The first one looks like it was taken on a hot day. Some images have the power to make the viewer instantly get a sense of the environment.

The second shot: What a great capture! The coloring, the composition, the focus, the subject, I love it all. Ir would be a nice addition to my office.

I love that #2 also but before setting up your desktop, I would clone out that yellow whatever in the bottom right corner and straighten it up (is up on right side just a bit).
Then it would be SUPER.
