I hope people bidding on this realize that it's a 1:5 scale model and not the actual camera and lens:

That's just stupid...:) Guess you can't afford the real thing and why not get a model of it..... $600+? I can get a real camera with $600.

If it's as rare as the ad says, I wouldn't be surprised to see people paying that much for a model. People like toys, and collectors are a weird folk. Almost as weird as photographers. :)

It's over $1,000 with a little over an hour to go. Looking at the bid history, looks like a lot of single digit feedback users. Wondering if there's shill bidding going on, or just simply people thinking it's the "real" thing rather than a model. Amazing nonetheless.

Closed at $1500. The bidders are either idiots, shills, or trying to launder money.

Thats a totally fake auction! Looks the bidders list. They all have next to no feedbacks. People will literally just create accounts on ebay to bid up stuff for others or for themselves. Perhaps in this case they are hoping that some real person with lots of money will think this is something special and actually bid to win it. Or maybe they are just having fun. Either way its not real people...
