Maybe not in August, but in September, for sure: a 100 f2,8 macro with IS. This would include the new Hybrid IS system. At least, I hope this is announced.

It's all speculation really. A lot of people want a 24-70L IS, updated 70-200 f/2.8 IS and possibly a new and improved 100-400. There are also rumors of prime updates. Really nothing too legitimate at this point IMO, so we'll just have to wait and see...

I hope they don't make these lenses new version. I have all of them, and if they release new versions, i will want to trade them in :/

just curious if you guys know, but are there any shows or events that they typically introduce new lenses - like with set dates to look forward to? or are new lenses just usually announced around this time of the year?

It would be nice if Canon would introduce a NEW focal length lens or two, instead of just "updating" current lenses. An EF 300-500 f2.8-4 L. I.S. lens would be nice, as would an EF12-24 f2.8L lens.

As far as updating current lenses go, I wouldn't mind seeing an EF 600mm f4L I.S. II lens that weighs UNDER 10 lbs, and has MFD of 12 feet.

i could see the 12-24 eventually appearing...but not likely for the other 2.

I could see the 12-24 appearing but I think it might be f/4. A 14-24/2.8 (like the Nikon) will be nice though.

Just about any lens older than a decade old.

EF 17-40/4L IS.

Too much stuff, not enough shooting time.

Canon T4i (2 lenses), Fuji X100s, Olympus OM-D EM-1 (3 lenses)

there are far better candidates to add IS to besides this.

i want an EF version of the 17-55mm 2.8 IS that handles flare well with, is as sharp (or sharper) as the current EF-S 17-55mm, has an excellent QC process on it's way out the factory (0 bad copies), and L build quality. make it so, canon!

lol

5DIII, 7D, 16-35 f/2.8L II, 24-70 f/2.8L II, 24-105 f/4L, 40 f/2.8, 135 f/2L, 85 f/1.8, 100 f/2.8L macro, 70-200 f/2.8L II, 430EX II, POWERSHOT S95.... i'm your huckleberry.
