The plan for Saturday was to get some shots using the Athens Coney Island as a background. I'd stopped off there several times during the week & couldn't get the exact shot I saw in my mind, so I made a composite out of four different ones.

the black car looks kind of like its floating on the road.

Maybe because the RF tire looks a bit light? Otherwise, I'm not seeing that. Is your browser calibrated? That might make a difference.

How did you pull that one off?

By cheating? As I said, "so I made a composite out of four different ones." I'm not totally happy with it yet, but here's what I started with:
