Guess - if that top view is the 7D then it'll be 1.3x crop.
As for the on/off switch placement, didn't the 30E have its on/off switch there?

It ALWAYS ends up switching to the halfway point when I don't want it to (and I never want it to) just by bumping up against my body or some other inadvertent cause. Then when I try to quickly adjust aperture in manual mode, it won't let me until I push the switch back where I ALWAYS want it to be anyway. Geoffery wrote in post #8493938 The ergonomics from the 7D badge and the top-plate images seem to point to the new camera adopting the 1D-series design than any xxD or 5D type despite the built-in flash. why's that? The top plate is almost a clone of the 5Dii. Add the m-fn button and the on/off switch, but otherwise yeah. The pop up would also be new to the 1 series. My Gear List

D700 and 5DII both have a taller pentaprism box, not too mention the D700 is taller than the 5DII in general (note the tall box that sits between the flash "arms" on the D700). The leaked top plate looks very similar to a 50D.

pictures from the digital picture.com to me, this upcoming "7D" seems to be a crop body as oppose to being a FF camera. look a the size of the mode dial, and the distance between the ergonomic grip and the ef mount, it just screams crop to me. i hope you can see what i am talking about (maybe im just in denial considering i have a couple of EF-S lenses) I'm MARLON
