My camera has done this before, but only once so I didn't think much of it. But this past wedding I did it happened 5 times. So I need to know what I'm doing wrong or if my camera is dying a slow painful death.

I have a Canon 20D, I've owned it since Feb/Mar of 2004 and have used it like an amateur - more than a hobbyist, less than a pro. It has been dropped once and it jacked with the hot shoe - the flash no longer makes a clean connection, I have to hold it in the right place for it to work (I say this because this might be the source of the problem).

Despite the fact that this is flat-out a bad picture (not looking for a critique on it), why is it green? Any thoughts? Is the sensor failing or something? Or is the bad connection to the flash (580EX II) some how messing with the picture? (The more I look at this picture, the more I almost don't want to put it up just because its so bad).

Oh, and no, I didn't change the settings to make it green (Its not on B/W with a green tint). This should be a standard color photo that is a bit more vibrant and sharp.

Interesting - I am guessing that your camera indeed is dying. Sad to see - I still have a 20D that I only take out for special occasions where I want a smaller body - it still produces fantastic images - hate to think this could happen.
I would contact Canon CPS and see what they think.

Why are you using a camera with a bad flash connection for weddings? Yea it looks like the camera may be on the way out.

This image can be saved (improved) quite a bit. If you turn on image editing ok, I will post a corrected version unless someone else beats me to it...............tw

How do you allow image editing?

In Photoshop try a Channel Mixer adjustment layer, and curves adjustment.

White Balance was set on Flash.

As for making the image look ok, I've got the RAW file, and I can make it the correct colors for the skin and everything, but I was just wanting to know why the image came out green. I might change the image, but there's a fair chance I'm just going to delete it or not give it to them (it sucks, so much wrong with it).

This just happened to more pictures. So I didn't know if that meant my camera was dying, or if its still ok.

This is a very quick fix using a channel mixer adjustment and a curves adjustment.
