love the close shots. agreed that i hope you werent using the 50mm. i dont know if i would use any less than 600mm w/ 2X converters on....lol.

Beautiful set of images, all show such wonderful character and beautiful scenery. Funny though, the first thing that came to mind when I saw the third image was, well, Clint Eastwood. OK, call me crazy, but come on, look at the facial expression!

I just moved to the yukon and i'm hoping to make a trip to Katmai this summer to see the bears. What tips, warning and/or advice would you give me?

these are the people we went with. great info and all pretty much accurate.

the most important rule as it was told to me....."no matter how scared you get never run" :D.

seriously if you really want prime viewing get a good guide.....i'd recommend buck wilde of katmai coastal bear tours :D.

also feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.....
