When I import RAW pictures into Photoshop elements 6 they often but not always, appear as a "gray torn picture" icon in Organizer as opposed to the actual image. When I click on them and go to edit, the imagines appear and I can process and save them as normal. Does any one have any idea why Elements Organizer cannot find the images after I downlaod into the Organizer?

Sounds like the organizer doesn't know where ACR is. Either it's installed in the wrong location, or you need to clear the cache.

I occasional have the same problem (mainly when I import >100 RAW images at one time). I don't know why it does it but I have found that if you close the Organizer down and then restart it and right click on the image (the gray torn picture), you can select "Update Thumbnail" and then the Thumbnail will appear. For me, it doesn't happen enough to be too bothered by it but if someone knows a fix...let me know!
