My daughter’s Mini Aussie had puppies last week. Of the litter of 6, one didn’t make it, four were normal sized and one was very small. The mom doggie dropped the small one off at the foot of my daughter’s bed the second night. My wife and I went over and scooped the small puppy up and brought her home. We (well my wife mostly) have been bottle feeding her about every two hours since. She seems to be doing much better (started out at 4.7 oz.) that is until I brought some of my photography gear over to my daughter’s house to take pictures of all of them together. The other 4 are huge compared to the little one. I don’t know if she is out of the woods yet but I’m pretty sure my cat has dropped off larger mice on the front steps.

Wow -- very tiny.

Keep up on the feeding and keeping it warm -- hoping for the best for the puppy.

Well she is up to 7.6 ounces tonight. Still eating good and scooting all around the box we have her in. Her siblings are starting to open their eyes and get fatter.

amazing the difference. Can you put her on mum alone for a little while so she can have a feed without competing with her big brothers. Also are you making sure she goes to the toilet. I hand raised pups, you need to moisten a tissue with warm water and gently rub it over her bottom, it mimicks the mum washing her and she should go for you. It's important to do it after every feed if the mum doesn't. good luck with her.
