wow! fantastic shots!!

I went whale watching in Canada earlier this year, but wasn't lucky enough to see as many breaches as you did. Most of my photos are of the whales swimming along with not much out of the water.

Nice work :)

AWESOME!!! I have seen almost 100 breechings over the last 10 years between 3 trips to Alaska and many out to Monterey and the Channel Islands. Your photos are the best I have seen!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Hey Zipline,

Yes, I have looked around for different outfits, and the Prince of Whales keeps coming up.

Are they OK?

I am visiting family in Eliot, and staying in York Beach, and this is about 45 min from where we are staying.

Is there an outfit that is considered the BEST?

Parm

I don't have any personal experience with the Prince of Whales, but I do know that they work very well with the company I go out on (Granite State Whale Watch out of Rye, NH). The crew on the GS has told me in the past that Prince of Whales is a great company with a great group of employees. So you should do just fine with them. The main reason I asked if you were going with them is because I wanted to let you know that there's a blog up where the naturalists from the Prince of Whales as well as other local companies post their sightings, some daily. So, if you want to keep up with what they've been seeing before you go you can see it at http://www.whalesightings.blogspot.com (external link). Good luck when you go, please do share some photos! :)

Thanks again everyone! Your comments are appreciated. I'm still admiring the photos from this amazing experience myself. Can't wait to go again. :)

Fantastic shots - I'd love to see whales breach myself some day.

It looks very beached & helpless. Awesome!

Basic body, 50 f1.8, 85 f1.8, 70-200 f2.8 L, 430EX. A 50D or it's replacement in the new year and a revived trigger finger.......would like to also add 135mm f2 near future (maybe)
