problem posting images

I am trying to post some images that I have uploaded onto flicker. When I try to embed the image all I get is a little box with a red dot in the middle of it. I'll try and embed an image to this post to show you what I mean. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

The little box with the red dot doesn't come up in my post but I see it when putting my post together.

Rigth click on the photo on flickr, select properties and copy the url. Then paste that between IMG tags.
