Two images of my daughters latest pets.

They are Rhacodactylus Ciliatus Gecko's, which are native Southern Grand Terre in New Caledonia. Commonly refered to as Crested Gecko's or "Cresties".

This is one of the babies (all of 2 inches long head to tail) eyes open sleeping and in "unfired" colors.

I'll shoot some more when he/she and the companion are awake and more colorfull if interested.

Images taken with Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro

I would diffidently like to see the “Cresties” in some other color. Please post other photos when available.

Larry Q,

You are on, will shoot some over the weekend towards night fall when they become active and start to "fire up" and display color.

These little guys are quite easy to photograph as thet sit perfectly still (if I don't move... you don't see me :) )

McMurry,

Love those little Panther Gecko's they have great expressios, just a little too quick sometimes around the house...

Thank you, KillerClown.

Lavochkin7 - this is my first panther. He is tiny at the moment, and yes, very quick. I'm trying not to mess with him too much, but I had to document his arrival. :) I'll let him grow a bit before he gets much more handling. You're right about the expressions. He looks like he's permanently stricken with curiosity. :)
