It's not making your sensor more light sensitive, it's just raising the exposure using software, just like moving the exposure slider in photoshop/your choice of software.

raingrove THREAD STARTER Junior Member 23 posts Joined Aug 2009 Location: Singapore / Seoul / Hong Kong More info | I don't think it's simply boosting 1600 to 3200 in software. the hacker who made this just enabled ISO 3200 which was deliberately disabled. the hacker also attempted to enable ISO 4000 and above, but that made the image black and full of vertical lines as though the sensor couldn't handle it. If it was entirely software, ISO 4000 would have worked too.
