I don't think so, however i did read that there was was a hack to enable it to record video, although it wasn't HD it was something like 640*480... this was some time ago though.

Nothing on the CHDK website about an xsi hack.

New one.

It went to ISO 12500 on my camera when it started up, now it's back to 3000.

It still does 100-3000 but now with all the ISO stops in between.

Still can't do 3200 on the new build.

I also loaded the 6-13-09 build and was impressed, if I could have that build with color temp adjust I would be very happy. Otherwise I'll just do it in Lightroom.

Just loaded the 7-19-11 build, got ISO 3200 now, and everything else the newest build has, but still no ISO 16, 32, etc. I think what I'm going to do is save that build for low ISO things like portraiture or long exposures and swap into the 7-19 build when I want to change color temp on the fly.

So far, I'm quite impressed. My 400d used to just sit in the bag all the time as a spare and now I've been shooting it again with the firmware hack. This is just plain awesome it's like a whole new camera.

What does the new build have? do i simply just dump the new autobat file in my cf card or do i need to do the WHOLE process again?

Once the camera has loaded the hack once and the card is made bootable, all you have to do is copy the autoexec.bin over the old version on the card.

Go to the google web site to see whats been added

They took those low-ISO settings out a few versions back as they weren't working properly.

If you have any ideas that you wanted added to the hack just go to the google site above and enter it in the "Issues" section

Be careful when you go to the Google download site as there are nightly builds that may contain bugs or untested new features. You may not want to load that one on your camera.

At the bottom is the latest "featured" release - this is the tested version that you want to download.

Erm.. Hello all - new member.
I've read this thread until my eyes hurt, but install went well first time (16th June ish? build). Just wanted to say (as I keep noticing it) that my camera has no issues transferring JPEG's and CR2's over USB to a desktop & netbook with Win7 and also to an iPad using the camera connection kit.

Loads of thanks to all those posting help/tips and info etc. This is a great hack.

Ok, been using this for a few days with zero problems. Come today and my daughter's birthday party and the camera locked up when firing, which was particularly annoying.
Battery out to reset, & image not taken/saved. :(
Fire again and it locks up again. Changed card and no different - still locked up.
Changed battery and all ok, but other battery showing 3 bars?

Has anyone seen unstable behaviour with a low battery? Anyone noticed bars not going down when the battery is depleting?
And anyone successfully used the method in Walt's post to remove test fir.bin
https://photography-on-the.net …?p=12656218&postcount=908

I don't want to lose ISO 3200, but if its no good if I don't feel I can rely on it 100%.

Well in my case when ever the battery indicator shows anything but full its time to change battery pack. Not sure if its the hack doing this tho.
