I was at Selfridge on Saturday. There was actually some blue sky in the morning, but was pretty gray in the p.m. It was my first airshow with camera gear. I learned a lot from POTN before going so was somewhat prepared. One thing I learned was that the focus system of my cameras is better than my aging eyesight. Here's two that I liked.

I love the first pic (the second one is cool, too). Right now, I'm really missing Selfridge. As a Navy Reservist, that's where I do my w/e drills; however, I'm spending the next 10 months over here in Iraq....it's so nice to see grass, rain, clouds in the sky, etc.

I'd have been glad to donate my share of rain & clouds last weekend. ;)
Hang in there!

jwilson, Thank you for your service. My two sons each done three tours in Iraq. and one is a Blackhawk pilot currently in Afghanistan. From the pictures they sent me from Iraq I would agree that you will see little green grass or rain, and no SNOW

A very bland sky, I think the F-86 is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever produced (along with the P51 Mustang, Supermarine Spitfire, DC-3, and DeHavilland Mosquito)
