Hey everybody, I was looking for a forum on photography and I found this one. I see it's all about Canon cameras and coincidentally I just bought one. So I registered here.

Ok enough talking, let's get to the pictures!

I'm using an Eos 1000D with the 18-55mm lens.

Hi Robin
I guess the reason no one is saying much is because these shots are technically only close ups and not Macro.
Macro photography is considered to be at least .5:1 ratio but normally 1:1 and above. 1:1 means a 1 inch insect will take up 1 inch of sensor space. ie full frame shot.
Nice slose ups
To get going in macro you can try reverse mounting your lens. There is info around here on doing that or there are extention tubes or diopter lenses. After those options your talking true macro lens which start at Canon 60mm and go up to the mighty MP-E65 which the likes of Lord V and others use to great affect

Yeah I've checked some topics and I saw that my pictures are poop compared to those with a macro lens. I'll change the title, thanks.
