I took this 2 weeks ago at Peggy's Cove here in Nova Scotia. It was taken in RAW and converted to jpg. I'm kind of bothered by the shady side of the boat.

Peggy's Cove is one of my all-time favorite places. I am not bothered by the shadow on the boat, but you could easily open it with Levels or Shadows/Highlights or comparable tool in whatever software you have. If you are converting from RAW, I would underexpose it a bit and do detail (boat) in PS or whatever SW you use.
