Link to the original page I found it on: http://mikehoffphoto.com/?p=110 (external link)

I followed your link and read the story . He says' it's after a days work in the field but that blood is fresh red blood so if true this shot was taken with-in minutes after the blood splattered the lens cause blood turns black red after a short time and on this lens is no exception . If it were takens minutes after the splatter then i myself don't think i would have the guts fast enough to take this kind of image . I also wish i knew the true story behind it and where it originally came from .

I recall seeing this image way back when. I believe it was just after an RPG impacted at a hotel where journalists were staying. It basically landed right in their room.

Not necessarily. Some Emirates 777s, for example, have 3-4-3 in economy, tapering off to 2-4-2 at the back (as in the picture).

(e.g. http://www.seatguru.com …ng_777-200_3class_new.php (external link))

Lol. Didn't know that. Learn something new everyday :)

It was a tank shell.
It's the camera of journalist Faleh Kheiber.

The worst I ever exposed my equipment to was my 1DmkIIn/16-35L mkI w/filter & 580exII in a torrential downpour for about an hour with no cover of any kind. Everything was fine.

All the same, just replace 16-35L with 17-40L :D

Just wiped it all afterward and no problems. The only thing that bothered me was that E1 hand strap gets soaked.

Not testing my camera body built but my own body built. May seem harmless for some of the experienced shooters here, but these were some of the scariest moments in my small photography career. (But I didn't realize that till I looked through the images)

1) Free living gorillas in Ruanda. The male silverback looked pretty bored till he knocked off my lens rushing past me. You can imagine how close that was. Here's an image of him:

IMAGE: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2124/1922290369_b6368f6461.jpg

2) A motocross event. This shot was taken @ 17mm. I could taste the dust when he landed. (Have a couple like this one, they all were scary):

3) First time shooting Icehockey. Thank you guardian angel, leading that puck 4 inches away from my head:

Mprayii,

You may have spent some time in troubled areas but your experience is rather puerile in what you trust with your life.

I suggest you sell your .556 and adopt the finest .762 short, 15 million + can’t be wrong.

Add to that a 1D MKIII, and a 1DsMKIII and you are ready for battle.
