my sigma is ordered along with alot of other toys.

lens i am considering to fit the niche of wide angle car photography.
canon 17-40
canon prime but not sure which one. have seen alot of good on the 28 but it is not wide enough i do not think.
tokina 17 atx pro

i just started this search so a small list

i plan on a tamron 28-75 but it will prolly not cut it at 28 for creative car shots as a wide angle would do better.

i have used the 18-55 USM kit lens and depending on how i am feeling and such it has been at 18-24 most of the time, but i have been trying so far to get the whole car it with a little distance between me and the car.
so i think i need to actually try to get closer with the same focal lengths to get more of an idea.

this is what i am doing with my friends tamron 75-300. playing to see what focal lengths i want/need. he bought it to see himself. he went with the 70-200/4 canon. i am not sure yet. i know i shoot alot at 200 or less, but have not tried to do any wildlife yet. so that will make or break the decision process i believe.

so yeah play with what you have and see how much wider you might want/need.

What's that?

It's the Russian Fishy.

Check it out here:

It's amazingly cheap at only $115 plus a $20 m42 to EOS adapter. www.dvdtechcameras.com (external link) is a reputable site.

Yes, it's manual focus and manual aperature, but it's pretty darn sharp for what it does and a cheap wide angle. I hope to get one soon :)

Too much gear...
take nothing but pictures .... kill nothing but time .... leave nothing but footprints
