Several months ago, someone posted a thread, I think in the EOS camera section, with links to high speed videos of some DSLRs in operation.

Specifically, the videos were slow-motion replays of a camera with the lens removed, showing the action of the mirrors and shutter curtains during a shot.

I don't even know what to search for. But I would really like to find the thread so I can bookmark those video links.

Can anyone help?

How about searching for 'videos' and 'slow-motion replays'?

I googled "high speed slr shutter video" and found this: http://blog.makezine.com …ra_shutter_in_action.html (external link)

I've not looked at it (I'm on dial up) but do a search using the words I used and there are a few links that come up.

Many thanks, Jaymz.
I couldn't remember the thread title and my search attempts were unsuccessful.

A tip if you want to search for something specifically on POTN is to use google and add "site:photography-on-the.net" to the search then in many cases you can find threads that the current search engine cannot find :(

POTN is indexed so fast by google that it usually only takes hours before something can be found in google.

I've noticed that as well. Glad to have it confirmed.

Well, of course it is. My posts are so mind altering, the world must be made aware of them instantly.
