I woke up this morning, drove to work, had my coffee, fired up the computer and came here. As I always do, I browsed the "For Sale" thread and it suddenly hit me:

I don't want anything else right now. I have no piece of equipment that I need or want or will improve my photography.

I love the 450D, the 24-105L and the 70-200 f4 IS. I can get along fine with the 18-55 IS for my widest frames. My stuff is perfect for what I'm shooting and the limits of my equipment far exceed my limits as a photographer. MY GOD - have I been afflicted with Equipment Satisfaction Syndrome?

Please donate to stamp out this affliction. Maybe help get a stimulus grant from the boneheads in DC.

You've just acheived the photographic equivalent of snatching the pebble and walking on the rice paper without leaving footprints.

All that's left now: Lifting the flaming cauldron with your forearms so you get the twin Canon Logos seared into your flesh and you're pretty much out the door of this monistary.

Go forth and photograph Grasshopper...

You need a nice fast prime for low light situations or ultra thin DOF !

Seeing you have a 1.6x crop Canon ... I'd suggest the Sigma (DC) EX 30mm f1.4 (= 48mm in FF terms)

Or Sigma (DG) EX 50mm f1.4 (= 80mm - great for portraits)

Or one of many cool Canon EF primes (85/100/135) ??

;)

Thank you all for responding so quickly to a cry in the wilderness to help a fellow POTNer. You are a truly kind and caring crew.

I was also thinking about getting this classified as a photographic disability so I could qualify for the government to force the rest of you to buy my equipment for me. On the other hand, there are loads of P&S people who would then be entitled to a 450D and an L Lens from me. HMMMM.
