cicopo Goldmember More info | Aug 29, 2009 21:03 | #6 Thanks, I,ve met him & watched part of the Poker Run from his "cottage" a few years ago. He's a friend of a friend. He lives close to where I do, but I hadn't seen the boat in the new paint scheme & missed the exhausts in that first photo. When he bought that boat it had BB Chevs but they kept blowing up (can't figure out why) so he finally converted it to gas turbines. A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.

His old boat was orange/yellow and his new boat is silver/red. And his property is gigantic, as well as his yacht. Cole | flickr

cicopo Goldmember More info | Aug 29, 2009 21:23 | #8 I know about the size of the property & why (Parks Canada had restrictions on what he could build relative to land size if I remember right) but I didn't know he had replaced the old boat. The one before that one was stolen after another Poker Run. Boat, trailor & tow vehicle were all missing when they woke up. Years ago he wanted the Province to build an off ramp along the 401 (our main east / west 4 lane highway along that area) for him to get to his cottage more quickly. When they declined he offered to build it at his expense. (this is from the friend & I think it's believable because I've heard it elsewhere.) The Province said NO. That's what I wanted them to come out like but I'm not an expert in PS yet so I couldn't get that blue tint out of the pictures without completely ruining them.. Cole | flickr
