Well, I took a chance and I think it paid off... I went up after a stormy night, and it continued into the morning, but I was determined to go home with something. It was raining hard for the first round of images and then it started to lighten up so I continued to shoot. I then went back with no clouds in site, later in the morning (I would have went earlier, but I was with my wife, baby and grandparents... they're hard to roll out at 4am in order to be there at sunrise.)

C&C welcome.

This was shot from the west side of the Tetons, yes... the west side, meaning we made the trek around the mountain range, into Montana and Idaho on our way back home in the evening. It was a very long day, but who said a 300mm lens cant be used for landscapes?!?!...

Nice shots. It's hard to take a bad photo of that place. I think it is one of my favorite places on earth.

Love the sky and reflections in the pools in 3 & 4. That last is just plain cool! Thanks for sharing...

Thank you all very much :) The top four are panos, obviously.... about 10-12 photos each. I will be able to print a big one - I just dont know which one yet.

Thank you very much - it was that blue too... I didnt even need to boost the saturation in these. I was so glad I went back that second day. As you can see, the first was rather stormy, and gives off a totally different look and feel to the image.

I like #1 and #3. But in all honesty, I would do a B&W conversion to 1.

Hi I think the blue sky is over saturated compared to the flat contrast in the mountains in #3. I would treat the mountains and sky as one and control the contrast and saturation so they appear naturally in the same perspective or at infinity which is what the lens sees.

Don't be hating. I didnt touch the saturation. ;) This part of Wyoming is just this beautiful. I will see what I can do to make the mountains pop a little more but that sky was that blue, I'm not kidding.

Thank you - it is very impressive. I was just savoring the moment while I was there. There was only two other photogs there, one was doing a location shoot with a family and the other was doing landscapes as well.

Could be my monitor Jeff and no one's hating ... I thought this was a place to critique and it's not ... chalk it up to forum newbie-itis
