I am still amazed at the prints I get as they are super sharp and the color is really natural, most of the time, w/o any correction. Oh did I mention the 2nd gen IS? WHOA! Its a school concert in a converted Gym with sparse sodium lighting. I as always will end up in the back row and my daughter will be behind the first row of flutes. I'll try to post what I consider the ultimate challenge for the 70-300 DO IS lens!

Ok, I really didn't do the lens justice at all, but I might as well show what mistakes look like with this lens and the 20d. Note some of the mistakes are: ISO only 800. (Thought I had it up higher.) This gave me only 1/30 sec. @ 300mm. I just don't have the hand held technique. Glad for the IS. Color temp should have been about 2500. I post corrected a bit in PS.
